Under the bridge

The Gazelle Bridge. The busiest bridge in Belgrade. Some 165 000 vehicles cross it on a daily basis although it was originally designed to take 40 000 vehicles a day. It was only a matter of time when such a heavy load would take its toll... 

After almost two years of renovation and Belgraders' patience wearing thin due to crazy traffic jams caused by intermittent closures, it was fully renovated and opened for traffic mid-November 2011.
